Default Vegetation Monitoring Technician (3)

The Nature Conservancy at the Cosumnes River Preserve is recruiting for three vegetation monitoring technicians. Applications must be submitted through the online system.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Vegetation Monitoring Technicians work on a crew of three people to perform botanical data collection and land management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Vegetation Monitoring Technicians conduct vegetation monitoring to species level using scientific nomenclature and performs land management activities. They remove exotic species and/or may assist in maintaining tools, equipment, and land. The Vegetation Monitoring Technicians will maintain preserve records using a database or PC. They are expected to be able to quickly memorize the Latin names and identification characters of plants, and to identify plants to species, using Latin names, in the field from memory.

DURATION
July 1, 2019, through October 18, 2019
